Aluminum-magnesium alloy

The alloy has high strength, best corrosion resistance, low density and good air tightness.Aluminum and magnesium binary casting alloys, magnesium content of up to 11.5%, the magnesium content in the multi-dimensional alloys is generally about 5%.The organization of the alloy is composed of α + β (Mg5Al8) phase, the strengthening effect of heat treatment is not obvious, mainly solid solution strengthening. β (Mg5Al8) phase along the grain boundaries is net-like precipitation, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties become worse.In order to prevent β (Mg5Al8) phase along the grain boundary precipitation, more in the solid solution state.The addition of silicon and manganese to the alloy can improve the fluidity of the alloy.
